Procurement Officer

  • Early Years - the organisation for young children 6c Wildflower Way Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT12 6TA United Kingdom (map)

Early Years – the organisation for young children wish to recruit a Procurement Officer to work within the ASPIRE project.

The ASPIRE Project is a shared education initiative, funded through PEACEPLUS, and aimed at providing direct and sustained contact between children from all backgrounds.  This multi-year, cross border partnership is led by Northern Ireland Education Authority, alongside Early Years, the National Childhood Network, Léargas and Fermanagh Trust.

Early Years will be leading on the pre-school element.   The ASPIRE Project includes the design and build of a shared education online resource. Securing the right supplier will be central to the success of this project.  This is a fantastic opportunity to work on an ambitious project seeking to make a real difference to our society by embedding shared education from the start.

The post holder will lead, manage, and develop a procurement strategy to inform key external procurement activity to support ASPIRE Programme Delivery.  The role is 37 hours, based in Belfast. This role is fixed term for 6 months, with possibility of extension subject to funding.

As part of our team, you’ll work closely with the Head of Funded Projects and the wider ASPIRE Project Team; managing and monitoring the procurement process within the ASPIRE project. You will engage with a variety of partners and build strong supplier relationships to support delivery.

Closing date: Monday 14th October 2024 at 12 noon.

Interview date: Wednesday 23rd October 2024.
