Early Years Specialist Support Service 2023/24

The Early Years Specialist Support Contract ensures:

  • Your setting is a member of a regional organisation that represents the needs of the sector in a range of local and national reference groups and at a policy level.

  • Your setting is a member of an organisation with a proven track record in achieving high ETI inspection grades.

Early Years will model, support, and advise your setting in curriculum implementation and the continuing development of quality early childhood care and education provision within your setting. This support may include a focus on:

Aspects of practice identified for development.

  • Pre-inspection support for the group prior to inspection by ETI.

  • A post-inspection visit to assist with action planning if required.

  • A post ETI monitoring visit to assist with action planning, if required.

The duration, content and timing of support will be negotiated between Early Years and your setting staff team, using the evidence you present from your self-evaluation during the first point of contact.

Early Years will utilise on-site and virtual methods which will consist of support of up to 50 hours, which will include:

  • Opportunities for your setting staff to attend 5 Support and Best Practice sessions workshops, plus two Leaders Day sessions

  • Support from Early Years, which will include a range of methods including site visits, email and telephone support, or information provided through different media, including Microsoft Teams meetings, Zoom calls, Webinars, BLOGS, VLOGS, etc.

Delivery of the Early Years specialist support service will be facilitated by a team of Quality Mentors, Quality Advisers, Professional Team Leads or other appropriately qualified member of staff.
