Dr Feder will speak on ‘What Makes Us Special? We Reflect, We Respond, and We Revise’
Early relationships are fundamental to the mental health and wellbeing of children and their future outcomes. Children who grow up under stress are at increased risk for later problems including traumatization, poorer health and educational outcomes and radicalization.

Early Years, Rainbow and Splash Sure Starts worked collaboratively to explore a new approach to support social emotional development with two-year-olds in the continuing development of The Media Initiative for Children – Respecting Difference Programme. The approach supports adults to help children create the foundations to become more resilient problem solvers as they grow into adulthood.

Our 2019 pilot showed that the programme was both feasible and well received, and in this talk we will also reveal some preliminary results from our controlled study that concluded in 2022.
