Newry SureStart celebrates 21 years of supporting local children and families

Early Years - the organisation for young children, as lead body, was delighted to join with colleagues from the management board and staff of Newry SureStart on Thursday 29 September at a celebration event to mark 21 years of the SureStart supporting the needs of children and families in the local area. 

Commenting, Pauline Walmsley, Early Years Chief Executive Officer, congratulated Anne Rice and the team on reaching this significant milestone and on their continuing journey.  Pauline also acknowledged the contribution of the members of the Board, both past and present, to the continuing development of the work.

Guests at the celebration event included a range of friends, families, colleagues and staff that have engaged with the SureStart over the 21 years, as well as lead representatives from the Department of Education and Southern Health and Social Care Trust.
