About the ASPIRE Project:
The ASPIRE Project is a shared education initiative, funded through PEACEPLUS, and aimed at providing direct and sustained contact between children from all backgrounds. This multi-year, cross border partnership is led by Northern Ireland Education Authority alongside Early Years, the National Childhood Network, Léargas and Fermanagh Trust. The ASPIRE Project will provide contact between children through collaboration between and within schools and in pre-school settings.
Project Goals:
The overall objective of the project will be to increase the number of children, educators and leaders engaged in sustained partnerships with those from different backgrounds. This will lead to both changes within educational settings and the wider community; building a more peaceful, prosperous and cohesive society. The project builds on previous initiatives including Sharing from the Start.
Important Notes:
Only funded PSEP children in NI and funded ECCE children in ROI are eligible to receive funding through the project.
For settings without a partner, we recommend that you make contact now, giving enough time to complete the application together.
We have our upcoming online workshop. Please follow the link to register - https://www.early-years.org/news/aspire-workshops
We look forward to your participation in this exciting and impactful initiative.
This project is supported by the European Union’s “PEACEPLUS Programme”, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
