Policy and Communication Officer

Early Years – the organisation for young children wish to recruit a Policy and Communication Officer to work within the Early Years Team on a fixed term basis until 31 May 2029. The role will be based in Belfast working 37 hours per week . Hybrid working is available. 

The successful candidate will support the ASPIRE programme delivery through developing and coordinating internal and external communication of policy work by proactively contributing content, including for our website, social media and media. Build and maintain external relationships, meeting stakeholders in line with policy priorities. Network through delivery of and attendance at meetings, events and conferences.

The ASPIRE Project is a shared education initiative, funded through PEACEPLUS, and aimed at providing direct and sustained contact between children from all backgrounds.  This multi-year, cross border partnership is led by Northern Ireland Education Authority alongside Early Years, the National Childhood Network, Léargas and Fermanagh Trust.  Early Years will be leading on the pre-school element, and this is a fantastic opportunity to work on an ambitious project seeking to make a real difference to our society by embedding shared education from the start.
