These programmes are quality assured by ILM/City&Guild’s. This ensures that the programmes are held to high quality standards by a world leading awarding body. All participants who complete a programme will receive an ILM/City&Guilds certificate.
Leading Resilience
This programme will support leaders and managers in building personal resilience, resilience in the workforce and organisational development. This programme consists of two sessions:
Session 1 - What is resilience?
Session 2 - The importance of building and maintaining connections
Within these two sessions you will develop:
An understanding of what resilience is
An understanding of why resilience is important
The skills needed to build levels of resilience
The role of building and maintaining connections for resilience

Compassionate Leadership
This is a 4-week programme. The overall aim is to support compassion and resilience in the early years sector with consideration initially towards self and then support for the various practitioner team roles within the setting. The following will be covered:

Session 2 - Compassionate leadership
Session 3 - Supporting your workforce - supervision and appraisal

Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs
The specific aims and objectives of the Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs unit are to equip the senior staff in early years sector settings with high level skills for leading support for children with special educational needs including:
Increase own knowledge and understanding of their role
Increase own knowledge and understanding of requirements and responsibilities
Apply knowledge and skills relevant to own setting
Reflect on own provision and plan for action
The programme is designed to be flexible and participative you do not need specialist knowledge and you will get the chance to shape the learning with your experiences and learning needs.

Coaching for Leaders
The specific aims and objectives of the Coaching For Leaders unit are to equip the senior staff in early years sector settings with high level skills to coach their staff to improve performance. Participants will:
Gain an understanding of what coaching is
Identify coaching scenarios
Equip themselves with coaching tools
Practice coaching both on course and in the workplace
Put a plan in place to carry out coaching in the future
The programme is designed to be flexible and participative you do not need specialist knowledge and you will get the chance to shape the learning with your experiences and learning needs.

The Leadership and Outcomes course will equip committee members (sometimes called board members or trustees) and senior staff of early years settings with high level governance and strategic skills. This programme consists of the following 5 sessions:

Session 2 - Roles and responsibilities
Session 3 - Financial management
Session 4 - Strategic direction and assessing outcomes
Session 5 - Sustainable committees and close
The governance and strategic skills you will develop through this programme include:
Understanding the main roles and responsibilities of committees/boards
Applying financial management tools to the finances of settings
Apply methods in building a sustainable committee/board
Understand how to supervise and support staff in settings
Use teambuilding methods to build positive relationships in committees/boards and between committees and staff
Linking all of the above to producing high quality outcomes for children
