Supporting all young children series

Welcome to the supporting young children series hosted by the Early Years Quality Specialist Support team.

With over 20 years experience working with the International Network on peace building with young children, we know the early education and childhood sector has considerable potential to meeting the needs of all young children and families.

Through this work we have developed practical, evidence-informed activities for engaging with young children, as well as materials for adults to support them in listening to the voices of young children and to help the children express their feelings and emotions.

In this series we focus on emotional support for children, calming strategies for children and how to support behaviours.

Part one in the series is using puppets to offer an effective and child friendly way to foster emotional literacy and empower young children.

Your education should help you use and develop your abilities. It should also help you to live peacefully and respect other people.
